About One Artsy Momma

I'm a Momma of twins and married to a wonderful man of 26 years. I love reading, gardening, bike riding, rollerblading, and creating art. I've always loved creating art but never thought of sharing it. Raising a family has always been my top priority. Now that my kids are in college, why not get those creative juices going again? I've taken drawing classes during high school and a community college. The bottom line is that I'm a self-taught artist. I love it! I am so grateful to share it with the world!! :)

Happy 2014!! :)

WOW!  2013 is gone forever!!  These years are flying by so very fast for me.  Especially once I had my twins, ten years ago.  I wanted to start out the new year with my newest addition to my art collection, The Prismatic Crested Owl and his little one.  I created this painting digitally, using many mediums.  I think owls are fascinating and majestic, definitely my favorite bird.

Well here is to a new year!

Wishing you and yours a healthy, wealthy, and very happy 2014!  🙂

Merry Christmas :0)

Well today is Christmas Eve.  My kiddos are already tracking Mr. Claus this morning.  Gotta love technology!  I wanted to post a couple of my most recent holiday paintings.  Created digitally, using many mediums.  From water colors, to airbrush.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

The SnowMomma And Her SnowGirl :-)

Well it’s officially a week from Thanksgiving today, November 21, 2013!  It’s so hard to believe the holidays are here already.  The year sure did fly, like it usual.  I’m really enjoying this time of the year (not the cold or snow though!), Christmas is my all time favorite holiday.  So I’ve been creating some holiday relate art.
Here you have, The SnowMomma and her SnowGirl standing in the middle of a blizzard. Giving each other comfort by snuggling close. Both are wearing warm fuzzy hats, Momma is with a matching scarf. Snow falling all around them. I created this painting digitally, by using watercolors/airbrush.  The image can be found on many products at my Zazzle shop.  Just click above into my Zazzle store link, where you’ll find so much more.  Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my website.  Wishing you and yours a very happy holiday season! 🙂

Merry “Early” Christmas ~

Okay, I know what you’re thinking, “it’s not even Halloween yet!” But, I’ve finished it, my first painting of the holiday season!
The Snowman & His Posse!
I LOVE snowmen, and this was a great joy to create!  Especially using the airbrush tool.  I also used watercolors.  You’ll find this image available on greeting cards, canvas, and much more.
Now go, and have a very happy, and safe Halloween 😉

Happy Halloween Time :)

It’s that time of year again, kids getting their costumes figured out before the big day.  Families out decorating their yards with spooky decor.  Us parents, using all of their willpower, NOT to open the bags of candy prior to Halloween to take just “one” candy (we’ve failed miserably!).

Love creating pumpkins, just not the carving part.  So here I’ve created one with no mess, The Textured Pumpkin.  Created digitally, using the airbrush and watercolors.

Have a safe and fun Halloween 2013!

The Ladybug Wooing His New Love ~

Who doesn’t love the very beginning of a new relationship.  The excitement, mystery, and adventure!  Just thinking about all those familiar feelings, helped me in creating this new painting.

The Ladybug Family!

Here is a painting of the proud ladybug parents, showing off their new addition to the family.  A unique, blue, love bug.  Loved making the flowers in this painting, they almost look a little 3D.

For The Yoga Lover!

I practice yoga, and thought this would make for a great drawing.  A ladybug demonstrating the dead bug, yoga pose.  This looks great on a shirt!

Nowhere But Up From Here!

Inspired by the movie, UP!  I thought this would make a great painting.  Two love bugs gazing at each other as they float up into the sky.  Titled, Nowhere But Up From Here.
