Ernesto the Secret Santa Owl

Ernesto the Secret Santa

Ernesto the Secret Santa is finished. The original has been sold to a wonderful customer, and I am beyond humbled and grateful.

If you love Ernesto, no worries you’ll still have a chance to get yourself a copy because he will be available on several outstanding products from Society6 and other Product-On-Demand online stores.

I’m also excited to announce that my daughter and I are brainstorming a book about this cute little owl, Ernesto. Keep your eyes peeled, hopefully by Christmas 2019.

I Sold My First Original Painting!

The happy recipient of my first original painting, Meagan Brown.

I am super excited to share this great news. I have sold my very first original painting!! I want to thank Mr. and Mrs. Chris Brown for their purchase of my “Owl Lovers” watercolor painting. They gifted this painting to their daughter, Meagan.

I am excited about this new way of sharing my art. In the past, I have always created my art digitally, and now I am experimenting with watercolors and having an absolute blast with this fun medium. It certainly is different creating on paper rather than my computer screen and stylus.

I plan to start selling originals and offering prints and many other products as well. Keep your eyes peeled for my next art pieces.

Ernesto the Owl

I used an H pencil to trace Ernesto.
When using watercolors, it’s all about layering colors. So fun!!

I’d like to introduce, Ernesto the owl to you all.
I’m currently using watercolor pencils to create this cutie pie. My hope is to share my progress with you all on a daily basis.

I’m debating on whether to change the background. What color would you suggest for the background?

Introducing, Ernie the Egret and his Friends.

I’m very close to finishing my latest piece, Ernie the naked Egret. I’ve been enjoying creating this sweet bird. Started this on pencil and paper, then finished it digitally, with my ArtRage software. This painting is part of my Wildlife Series.

I will have Ernie available for purchase soon. Keep your eyes peeled!

If you’re an artist, share what you’re working on in the comments. I would love to see!

Owl Always Love Them!

I find that owls are fascinating and majestic birds.  They are my favorite birds, and I truly enjoy painting them.  This is an older watercolor painting of mine, called the “Odd Owl.”

Ernie the Egert and his Clan Illustration

Introducing, Ernie the Egert and his clan.  The past several months I have been stepping into a whole new realm of creating art.

I have always used my ArtRage software to create, but lately, I have been using the real deal.  This is just one of my many new creations, using just pencil and paper.  My ultimate dream is to illustrate a Children’s book someday very soon.

Penetrating Looks

As an artist, I love to view and promote my fellow artists pieces.  Here is one that I adore.  “Penetrating Looks,” by Live-Art.  https://society6.com/product/penetrating-looks_print?curator=oneartsymomma

I find owls to be so fascinating.  They have such a unique look to them.

A Tiny Bird

I had the honor of creating an adorable painting for a friend.  They have a little girl who they refer to as their “Tiny Bird,” so I thought it was fitting to name the painting, “Our Tiny Bird.”  I added a special touch to the painting, by adding the parent’s initials inside the carved out heart upon the tree trunk.  They love the painting, and I am so humbled that they asked me to create something so special.

I’ve decided to offer this same painting on a few of my Product on Demand websites here is one:  https://society6.com/product/our-little-birdie_framed-print?curator=oneartsymomma, Also, you’ll find it in my ETSY shop.  https://www.etsy.com/shop/1ArtsyMomma
